Light a Candle
Marcia Lynne Hunt (Marchese), a passionate activist, dedicated educator, loving mother and loyal friend, passed away unexpectedly March 11, 2013 at the age of 72. A long-time San Francisco resident, and recent transplant to the Sacramento area, Marcia will be remembered for her fierce love of life,
A voracious traveler with an eye for the adventurous in both cuisine and locale, she was never afraid to speak her mind or
She was an adventurous traveler who loved all things Italian but it was Mexico that was her second home and she took great pleasure in sharing
Born July 9, 1940 in Bridgeport Connecticut to Carolyn and Frank Marchese, Marcia was one of two children and was raised in a home where she was told anything was possible. Choosing to step outside her east coast world, she attended Indiana University where she earned a Bachelors and Masters Degree in Education and met the love of her life and partner Jay B. Hunt.
She is survived by her loving husband of 49 years, Jay B. Hunt, her brother David Marchese, her children David and Deborah Hunt and her two grandsons who loved their Nana beyond words.
Tentative arrangements include a memorial service on the East coast sometime in May followed by a service in San Francisco for friends and family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be sent to the Indiana University Foundation for the Frank & Carolyn Marchese and Donna Bye Hunt Scholarships or charity of your choice.
